Join Hope-Net Ministries for Racing to the Streets: A Guided Street Outreach and Encampment Simulation, a family-friendly community event designed to help Council Bluffs families, businesses, churches, and community members better understand the urgent needs of our unhoused neighbors.Guests will walk through the road from survival to housing and see how Hope-Net and local community partners work together to provide urgent support, practical resources, and pathways toward stability.
As guests move through the experience, they will encounter stations representing real-life barriers connected to living outside, accessing services, and working toward housing. Along the way, they will learn how street outreach, food outreach, case management, law enforcement, housing support, peer support, and community partners work together to help people move forward.
This experience will include Hope-Net Ministries and community partners, including:
-Bridges Out of Poverty
-Council Bluffs Police Department HOP officers
-New Visions Shelter and Case Management
-Taking It to the Streets food outreach
-Municipal Housing
-Heartland Peer Center
-Family Housing Advisory Services
When someone is living outside, help cannot wait. This event is an opportunity to learn, understand, and discover how you can help serve the unhoused community in Council Bluffs.
