This October 17th join us at Jay Blanchard Park for a fun-filled morning, a community run/walk dedicated to raise awareness for local rescue dogs. Greyhounds in Motion proudly invites you to the 1st ever Race to Their Rescue 5k!!
All friendly dogs are welcome. For safety, no prong collars, no retractible leashes, and no shock collars.
Whether you're a runner, jogger, walker, yapper, you're invited to share a special time with your favorite kiddo(s). Human or 4-legged! Bring your friends and pick a fun group name!
Race to Their Rescue 5K is more than just a race—it's a chance to make a difference! Join with wagging tails as we raise awareness and support for local greyhound rescue dogs. There's nothing better than sweet moments and sunny miles!
Greyhounds In Motion has been operating since 2019 and based out of Winter Park, Florida. Our mission is to help hounds home by facilitating transportation and adoption of Greyhounds and other Sighthounds in need.
Your attendance helps provide transport and accommodations for greyhounds — and sighthounds alike — assisting them on their journey to their forever homes. Many hounds are brought from overseas into the United States and driven to their adopting family with the help of volunteers. With many miles behind us, our mission is to get as many dogs into loving homes as possible.
Race Day Schedule:
☀️7:00 a.m. - Packet Pickup
⏰ Race Start: 8:00am
(Arrive early to park, warm up, collect your race bib and shirt, and use the restroom.)
🐾8:15am start for participants with dogs/children.
🏅9:00 a.m. - Age Group Awards
Race Kit Includes:
- Cozy Cotton/Poly Tee - optional with Run registration
- Race Bib
- Finisher Medal
