Did you know that Dylan Thomas, as a naughty schoolboy, threw a stink bomb into a cauldron during his sister’s performance of a witch in Macbeth? Join us for a fun hands-on creative activity, crafting quills and writing spells to make our own wicked fun. We will use Dylan’s autumn poems and spooky items from Swansea Museum’s natural history collection to help inspire us.All our workshops use recycled, repurposed, and environmentally sustainable materials. We will be using naturally dropped feathers to make the quills, which have been kindly collected by our friends Llanelli WWT. There will be natural stick quills for those who do not want to use feathers.
All our workshops are designed with accessibility in mind; please contact the Centre if you wish to discuss access requirements.
Our workshop space has a capacity of 35; if space is not available immediately on arrival, there will be a trail and activities to explore in our Exhibition.

This workshop is part of a Welsh Government funded partnership project between the Dylan Thomas Centre and Swansea Museum, which explores natural history through Dylan Thomas’ writing.
