What you will learn:
- Designer-Specific Techniques: Master the signature stitches, construction methods, or design elements that define Sophie Dawsons’s work.
- Troubleshooting: Receive hands-on assistance from Sophie Dawson to make one of her unique patterns.
How It Works
- Pick Your Pattern: Browse the collection by Sew Swish Designs and select any pattern you want to make. Purchase the pattern ahead of time or during the class.
- Bring Your Supplies: Basic sewing supplies, fabrics and pattern
- Work at Your Own Pace: Enjoy a collaborative, inspiring classroom environment where you receive individual attention exactly when you need it.
Already started on one of Sophie's patterns and need assistance or motivation to finish? Bring it along
Dependent on the pattern selected you will either assemble your quilt by hand or machine (Jean Irene).

About: Sophie Dawson
For much of her life, Sophie has been under the spell of needles and thread. Growing up watching her maternal grandmother who was a fine seamstress in her day, Sophie has dabbled in everything from cross-stitch, dress making, doll making and baby bibs to quilting.
For Sophie, quilting is about taking age-old traditions, blocks and techniques and giving them a new modern style. It is about making handmade textiles to add warmth and homely vibes to the most contemporary settings.
This passion for style in quilting has seen the launch of Sew Swish Designs by Sophie Dawson in April 2019. Sophie's aim is to delight, inspire and take you on a journey one quilt at a time. Her soulful, eclectic, colourful and energetic designs turn simple shapes into fabulous design.
