There have been many seminars on the future of specially abled children, legal protection, upbringing, etc. We have already conducted several seminars with several experts from West Bengal. People come to these seminars with many questions, spending time and money. The speeches are good. But the limited time is spent on giving speeches, there is no time for questions and answers. People go home with their unanswered questions.
Now I am thinking differently. This time there will be only a question and answer session: three hours. Experts will be on stage. The question and answer session will start from the beginning of the program. You come with unresolved questions about your specially abled child. The topics of your questions should be limited to the future of specially abled children, legal protection, upbringing. Thikana Shimla is building housing for specially abled children with parents. There may be questions on that too.
In the last hour, there will be a Bengali play directed by Arvind Ghosh: Coffee Murder. Performed by Delhi's Dramatrix.
The following experts will be on stage:
1. Dr. Parimal Bera, Lecturer in Special Education & In-Charge, Autism Unit at National Institute for the Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, Kolkata
2. Mrs. Chaitali Gami, Board Member, National Trust
3. Mrs. Nilanjana Rambathu, Director, Sunshine Autism
Moderator: Dr. Amitava De Sarkar, Secretary, Thikana Shimla
