Queer Youth Art Collective and Camberwell Space have been hosting a 10-week studio residency, bringing together 30 LGBTQIA+ creatives, with mentorship from technician mentors at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL, to think and dream about what a studio practice can look like. In an expensive city like London, space and time are precious resources.
The QYAC Studio Show invites you to see and celebrate the work made over the residency. For many, this is their first experience of being in art school. The cohort includes painters, digital and textile artists, poets, performers, photographers, writers and sculptors. Visit the closing display with live performances, drink and music.
Queer Youth Art Collective is a free queer art school, running weekly hybrid workshops, alongside exhibitions and special projects since 2019.
