About this Event
The course is offered by the DC Queer Tango Collective, and is intended for those who have completed the Collective's beginners series (i.e., have some knowledge and experience with the basics of the tango walk). Over four Saturdays, instructors Olga and José will lead the group on dance technique and exercises focused on various steps/figures popuilar with tango dancers, including giros/molinete, boleos, sacadas, paradas and more. All participants will be encouraged to try both leading and following roles, regardless of gender. The series is free of charge, but registration is required.
Note the first two sessions are Saturday Nov 7 and Saturday Nov. 14th, then there will be a two week break (no classes on Nov. 21 or Nov. 28, over theThanksgiving Holiday). The last two classes will be December 5 and December 12th.
