We sponsor leagues, tournaments, travel teams, and clinics – and in all our work and play, we embrace the Spirit of the Game.CHEER San FranciscoCHEER San Francisco is the world’s first LGBTQ+ charitable cheer team and The Official Cheer Team of the City and County of San Francisco. This 501(c)3 nonprofit organization is made up of adult-volunteers that perform as a means of raising Spirit, Awareness and Funds in the community. To date they have given out close to million dollars in grants to organizations providing critical health and wellness services in the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. CHEER San Francisco is a program of the CHEER For Life Foundation.Cycle To ZeroCycle to Zero is a 3‑day fundraising event benefiting the programs and services of San Francisco AIDS Foundation that builds on the three‑decade legacy of AIDS/LifeCycle. With a launch north from San Francisco, the journey unfolds through breathtaking scenery, bringing riders inland to the Russian River, Sonoma, and back along the coast to San Francisco. SFAF envisions a future of Zero New HIV Diagnoses. Zero Stigma. Zero Inequity. Zero Overdose. Cycle or Crew with us for a better future.GLTFThe Gay & Lesbian Tennis Federation is a 550+ plus member tennis and pickleball club, with members playing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The club hosts tennis and pickleball events for players of all levels, from novice to teaching pros. Members play year-round at courts all around the Bay Area, and also participate in club-sponsored tennis events and tournaments. The GLTF was formed in 1981 and is a 501 C 4. At the time we were born, a softball club was the only “out” sports league. A group of softball players decided they would like to play tennis too. The first year there were only 12 members. Also in 1981, the GLTF hosted the United States Gay Open (USGO). The USGO is one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious gay tennis tournament in the world. The GLTF is one of 40+ member clubs of the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA).Pride House SFPride House SF is a radically welcoming, safe, queer space where all people can freely experience the joy of the World Cup through the eyes of San Francisco. Preserving our intergenerational heritage of queer soccer, our intention is to leave a legacy for the Bay Area, using joy and community connection as our guiding lights.Queer Crush ClimbingWe host indoor and outdoor rock climbing meetups with the goal of creating safe and inclusive spaces for those who are diverse in their gender, romantic, and sexual orientations.San Francisco Fog RFCThe San Francisco Fog Rugby Football Club is the first gay and inclusive rugby club on the West Coast. Founded in 2000, the Fog has the vision to be the preeminent rugby club in the world that actively pursues the participation of people of color, gay men, and other groups traditionally under-represented in rugby. We believe everyone should have the chance to experience the camaraderie and brotherhood inherent to the sport of rugby. Players of any skill level are welcome to join, including those that have never played rugby or even an organized sport. The club is also involved in the local community both socially and philanthropically and we welcome everyone to participate — even if you don't want to play, we're happy to have you join the Fog Family.San Francisco FrontRunnersFounded in 1974, we are San Francisco's longest-running LGBTQ+ running club. FrontRunners hosts three weekly fun runs--at the Embarcadero, in the Castro, and in Golden Gate Park. We offer multiple distance and speed options, so every type of runner is welcome. Additionally, we host monthly social events and target races around the Bay Area for runners who are interested in competition. Come join one of our fun runs!San Francisco Spikes Soccer ClubThe San Francisco Spikes are an LGBTQ+ soccer club founded in 1982. Built on pride, inclusion, and community, the Spikes bring together players of all identities and skill levels to compete, connect, and give back—fostering lifelong friendships, supporting local causes, and proudly representing San Francisco at tournaments around the world.
SFGBA BasketballThe San Francisco Gay Basketball Association (SFGBA) is the nonprofit organization behind the Castro League, the oldest LGBTQ basketball league in the world. We operate monthly community open gym play and organize the Castro League for competitive seasons every spring and fall.SFGFFLThe San Francisco Gay Flag Football League (SFGFFL) builds community for LGBTQIA+ individuals in the Bay Area through inclusive, social, and athletic engagement in flag football. We empower players of all skill levels to grow as athletes, teammates, and leaders while fostering a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all.SFGSL SoftballSFGSL is an LGBTQ+ softball league committed to providing an organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender participants to compete in an environment conducive to the community.SF Quakes HockeyThe San Francisco Earthquakes is a LGBTQ+ ice hockey team, founded in 1998 and currently playing at Yerba Buena Ice in San Francisco. Players come from all over the Bay Area, are all ages and have diverse hockey skills. Our ethos is to create a safe, fun, healthy, non-discriminatory space for LGBTQ+ community to enjoy and play ice hockey. The team was founded to create a safe, welcoming, and empowering space for queer athletes and allies, we bring together players of various skill levels who share a love for the game and a commitment to inclusion on and off the ice.
SF Track and FieldThe San Francisco Track and Field Club creates opportunities for LGBTQ+ athletes in the Bay Area to train for and compete in local, national, and international athletics competitions. We support all skill levels, all genders, and all sexual orientations, and encourage each other to strive for our personal best.Team SFTeam San Francisco (Team SF) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that works to promote, support, and encourage LGBTQ+ and allied individuals to participate in sports and cultural activities at the individual, team, and club level within the San Francisco Bay Area and worldwide, with special emphasis on supporting the quadrennial Gay Games.
