Queer Joy Under the Stars: Movies in the Park
This summer, we’re grabbing our picnic blankets and queering the great outdoors!
Movies in the Parks is turning Hollywood Beach into an open-air theater—and you’re invited.
Bring your friends, chosen family, or come solo and meet someone new as we gather to watch (and perhaps sing along with) Mary Poppins Returns.
How to Find Us
On the night of the event, you'll find us near the big screen. Look for us with chairs and blankets marked with a yellow balloon. We'll gather around 7:00; the movie starts at dusk. Feel free to brings drinks & snacks!
About Your Hosts
Peter Godard (he/him, IG: @greatbearcoach) is an Andersonville-based coach who helps queer folx connect to joy & community so they can craft beautiful 'next acts'. He grew up on an island (hence his love of the beach) and will watch just about anything with Lin Manuel Miranda.
Alex Hinand (he/they, IG: @the_bareback_contessa_) is a Ravenswood-based interior decorator and event planner who helps people fill their homes with people and things that they love. He has Southern roots (and the cowboy hat tattoo to prove it) and has played in the orchestra of many a musical.
