🌈 Queer Family Picnic Day 🧺Join LGBTQ+ families from Hamilton County and the surrounding area for an afternoon of connection, laughter, and community!
Whether you’re a two-mom family, two-dad family, trans or nonbinary parent, solo LGBTQ+ parent, blended family, foster or adoptive family, expecting, or simply looking to build community with other queer families, you are welcome here.
We’ll spend the afternoon enjoying:
* 🧺 A relaxed picnic together
* 🎣 Fishing (optional) (some fishing gear will be available but you will have to purchase a license)
* 🌳 Playground and open space for the kids
* 🎲 Yard games and activities (cornhole, frisbees, and a few others will be provided).
* 💬 Time to meet other parents and make new friends
* 🫧 Plenty of unstructured play and conversation
What to bring:
* Picnic lunch and drinks for your family
* Lawn chairs or a blanket
* Sunscreen, bug spray, and water
* Fishing gear if you’d like to fish
* Yard games or outdoor toys if you have favorites to share
This is a casual, judgment free gathering focused on creating friendships and helping our kids see other families that look like theirs.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend so we can get an idea of how many families to expect. Feel free to invite other LGBTQ+ families who would enjoy spending the day together. Once we have an idea of how many folks, we’ll settle on a location. Currently thinking Harrison Bay or Chester Frost but open to suggestions!
