About this Event
An afternoon of nostalgia & crafting to create your own Queer zine 🌈📖
- Design the teen mag you wish you’d read 🎨
- Create a fanzine for your first crush ❤️🔥
- Collage your fantasy prom-night 💐
- Write a letter to your younger self 💌
- Draw a coming-of-age cartoon 👀
...or simply sit & doodle with a friendly queer crowd, to a throwback soundtrack 🎶
Bring pals, a date, or come along solo to meet some new friendly faces.
All crafting materials provided: Felt-tips + gel pens + stickers + stencils + a stack of old teen magazines to cut up & re-cycle for your own queer-tastic zine ✂️
We also provide instruction (how to fold a basic zine) and ✨zine-spiration✨ in the form of some zines we've enjoyed, and some we’ve made before, along with a throwback playlist, of songs from your coming-of-age era (we take requests!)
If you wanna use your own life as inspiration, we invite you to bring something you've kept from your past: a favourite object, a picture, a song, or treasured memory* to use as inspiration on turning them into a Queer-tastic Zine (this is not required - just if you want to!)
🎟 Tickets are Pay What You Can - choose a price that's affordable for you.
