About this Event
WWT is one of Londons most beautiful wildlife havens. With over 250 bird species recorded over the years, it's one of our favourite birding spots in London. They even have otters!
About us: We're on a quest to create a London based birdwatching crew. We're not professionals, just bird nerds learning as we go.
This is not a guided tour, but a safe space to hang out in nature with likeminded folk, and to share our knowledge with each other. If you spot a cool bird, tell us, and we'll do the same!
Event Info
🕰️ Date: Sunday 18th October, 10:30am
📍Location: WWT London Wetland Centre (Barnes). Meeting outside the entrance.
BYOB - Bring your own binoculars - (but if you don’t have a pair, don't worry, send us a DM on Instagram and we will bring some for you)
Tickets - WWT runs as a charity, so unfortunately tickets to the site are not free. We are not making any money from this event, we are just recouping the costs.
If cost is a barrier to your attendance, please send us a DM on Instagram @queerbirderslondon. We have set aside and paid for 4 tickets for those who can't afford it, paid for with donations from previous events (thank you everyone!) These will be first come first served.
Speaking of donations, Please consider donating in future if you can afford it. This means that we can continue to make our events more accessible. Funds raised go towards things like subsidising entry fees, buying art & craft materials, and building up our spare binocular stash.
See you soon!
