About this Event
Join us for fun relaxed workshops that are free from judgment and are suitable for all abilities. This is a safe space to create and connect with queer people.
In these guided workshops, you'll be offered support, tips, advice and practical demonstrations.
Saturday 9 March: Painting Candles
We will hand-paint candles with interesting colourful designs, motifs, and patterns. At the end of the session, you will have two beautiful candles to take home, to keep or to gift to others.
Please note: all materials such as candles, paint, brushes, and paper are included in the price for this session.
Saturday 13 April: Make Your Own Tarot Cards
In this workshop, we'll create our own tarot cards. We will look at a classic tarot deck and take inspiration from the cards that we connect to the most.
We'll then design and create our own tarot cards which can be graphic, abstract, figurative, monotone, or colourful. There is no right or wrong way, you are just gently encouraged to be expressive and go with your feelings!
Please note: all materials such as tarot decks, card, paper, paint, brushes, and pens are included in the price for this session.
Saturday 11 May: Making a Cat Mask
Join Queer Art Club for a Cat-Mask making workshop. We will look at the power of the cat, their role throughout history, symbolism, and mysticism.
We will then create our very own cat mask to celebrate the fuzzy felines.
At the end of the session you will have your very own hand painted, and decorated cat mask to take home.
Please note: All materials such as cat mask, paint, brushes, gemstones, feathers, and card are included in the ticket price.
