About this Event
Join us for next quarterly meeting of the newly reorganized Wake County Cattlemen's group. Each metting is an opportunity to expand your knowledge of beef cattle and network with fellow producers. At this meeting, we will be talking about how to prepare and respond to emergencies and disaster preparedness. Please come ready to share knowledge as we make sure livestock producers can be ready if the unexpected happens.
Invited Speakers:
Dr. Anna Allen is the Eastern Region Emergency Programs Veterinarian with North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Dr. Allen is going to talk about how livestock producers can prepare for disasters and plan for weather emergencies.
Dr. Jennifer Lynn Federico is the Animal Services Director at Wake County Animal Center. She is responsible for Wake County Animal responses and will talk about what Wake County's role is during times of emergencies.
