About this Event
🫀 Real-World Skills & Readiness Lab™: Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation - Part 1 / 2
The monitor beeps. The rhythm changes. And for a lot of us, that split second still brings a flash of "wait, is that normal?"
You're not alone in that, and you don't have to stay there. This half-day workshop with Darlene Hutton, RN, BScN, MSN, President of QRS Educational Services, gives you a systematic, repeatable way to read cardiac rhythms so you're not relying on memorization or guesswork in the moment.
No prior ECG experience required. This is Part 1 of a two-part series and works perfectly as a standalone session. Part 2 (ECG Assessment) builds on these skills when you're ready for it.
This interactive half-day workshop is ideal for:
- Travel Nurses
- Nursing students
- New graduate nurses
- Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs)
- RPNs and RNs transitioning into acute or higher-acuity settings
- Anyone seeking a practical, judgment-free refresher
📍 What You’ll Gain
- A step-by-step framework for reading any rhythm strip
- The ability to tell normal from abnormal, quickly and confidently
- An understanding of common arrhythmias and why they matter clinically
- Real patient case scenarios to practice on, not just theory
- The language to communicate and escalate what you're seeing
- A calmer, steadier reaction the next time the monitor changes
🩺 How It Works
Small-group, hands-on, and interactive, this session runs live at the Nurse Decoded Simulation Lab, whether you're joining in person or online. Guided instruction, real discussion, and practical rhythm interpretation exercises, not a pre-recorded lecture.
Ask questions. Get it wrong. Try again. That's the point.
Online participants are fully part of the room: your questions get seen and voiced in real time, this is a psychologically safe space built for learning, not evaluating.
