About this Event
🫀 Real-World Skills & Readiness Lab™: 12-Lead ECG Interpretation - Part 2 / 2
You've got the rhythm strip down. Now the monitor hands you a 12-lead, and suddenly there are twelve views instead of one, and a decision that might actually matter for how fast someone gets seen.
This half-day workshop with Darlene Hutton, RN, BScN, MSN, President of QRS Educational Services, takes you through a systematic approach to 12-lead ECG assessment: recognizing MI patterns, understanding what ST elevation and depression actually mean, and knowing what to do next.
This is Part 2 of a two-part series. To register, you'll need to have completed Part 1 (Rhythm Interpretation) or confirm you're already comfortable reading cardiac rhythms via a short attestation on your registration form.
This interactive half-day workshop is ideal for:
- Travel Nurses
- Nursing students
- New graduate nurses
- Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs)
- RPNs and RNs transitioning into acute or higher-acuity settings
- Anyone seeking a practical, judgment-free refresher on 12-lead interpretation
📍 What You’ll Gain
- A systematic framework for reading any 12-lead ECG
- The ability to recognize MI patterns and STEMI presentations
- A clear understanding of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and its significance
- What ST elevation and depression are actually telling you
- Awareness of common complications and how they're managed
- Real case scenarios to test your judgment, not just your memory
- Case Study Jeopardy: a competitive, case-based capstone that puts everything from both parts to the test
🩺 How It Works
Small-group, hands-on, and interactive, this session runs live at the Nurse Decoded Simulation Lab, whether you're joining in person or online. Darlene brings a live cardiac monitor for hands-on ECG assessment. Guided instruction, real discussion, and practical rhythm interpretation exercises, not a pre-recorded lecture.
Ask questions. Get it wrong. Try again. That's the point.
💻Online participants are fully part of the room: your questions get seen and voiced in real time, this is a psychologically safe space built for learning, not evaluating.
