About this Event
Drawn from real life, these tender and funny comics about a young boy named Lou are a joyful exploration of self-discovery and self-expression. Qin Leng, illustrator of Sharon, Lois & Bram’s Skinnamarink, A Family Is a Family Is a Family and many other classic books makes a solo graphic novel – based on her real-life kid – that will be a sure hit with comics fans of Le Petit Nicolas, Calvin & Hobbes and Peanuts.
Author Kyo Maclear will host and introduce Qin, as well as ask her a few questions. Then Qin will do a live drawing of a brand-new Lou comic strip, and lead kids in a drawing activity.
Attendance is completely free, but please RSVP to provide a sense of attendance. Books will be for sale by Another Story Bookshop. Support for this event is provided by Toronto Lit Up.
