As the year comes to a close, winter invites us to slow down, turn inward, and restore our energy.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, winter is associated with the Water Element and the Kidney and Bladder meridians. This season is connected with our deepest reserves, willpower, and the emotion of fear. Rather than pushing fear away, winter offers an opportunity to acknowledge it, process it, and develop the inner strength to move forward with greater courage.
Join Gwyn Davis and Natalie McCalla for a deeply restorative afternoon of movement, breath, and sound designed to help you close out the year with intention and enter the next one feeling grounded and renewed.
❄️ Water Element Qigong & Breathwork
Led by Gwyn Davis, this gentle yet powerful practice will focus on Qigong forms, breathwork, and mindful movement to support the Kidney and Bladder meridians.
We’ll explore practices that help:

✨ Support restoration and energy reserves
✨ Work with fear and uncertainty in a grounded way
✨ Cultivate steadiness, confidence, and inner strength
🎶 Immersive Sound Journey
Relax into a deeply restorative soundscape created by Natalie McCalla, featuring crystal bowls, gongs, handpan, and other healing instruments.
Sound provides an opportunity to settle the nervous system, release tension, and integrate the work of the movement practice—creating space for deep rest and reflection.
🌊 A Meaningful Way to Close the Year
This gathering is an opportunity to pause before the new year begins and ask:
What am I ready to release?
What fears am I ready to face?
What do I want to carry forward?
Rather than rushing into the new year, we'll take time to restore, reflect, and build the inner resources needed to move forward with intention and courage.
The Chinese zodiac will still be in the Year of the Fire Horse when we gather. The Fire Horse year began February 17, 2026, and continues until February 5, 2027. Our December gathering offers a natural opportunity to reflect on the energy and experiences of the year before the Lunar New Year brings a new cycle in February.
