Nurture your essence, conserve your energy, and align with the deep stillness of the season. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Winter begins in early November and lasts until early February. Winter is not just a change in weather - it is a vital phase of the five elemental cycles governed by the Water element. While modern life encourages us to stay busy year-round, nature invites us to do the exact opposite during the winter months. This is a sacred time to reflect on the essentials, conserve our energy, and rest deeply.By honoring the Water element, we directly support its corresponding organs: the Kidneys and the Bladder, which house our foundational essence, dictate our potential longevity, and grant us the gifts of deep listening and inner wisdom.
This wellness collaboration combines two powerful, complementary modalities to help you tap into the restorative energy of winter: Qi Gong is a self-cultivation exercise where you will move your body in gentle coordination with your breath to optimize energy flow. You will learn and practice specific, winter-aligned movements designed to harness your internal energy, promote vitality, and stimulate the Kidney and Bladder meridians. Followed by a targeted acupuncture treatment designed to support profound relaxation, quiet the mind, and nourish the Water element.
Bring a yoga mat, a cozy blanket, any pillow or bolster props you wish to use for extra support, a water bottle, and an eye mask - if you have one.
