QE to Bring Shakespeare’s The Tempest to the Stage at the Artsdepot - Excitement is building at QE as rehearsals get underway for the Senior Drama Club’s production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest! Our budding thespians recently took part in a special workshop with the Coram Shakespeare Schools Company, exploring how to bring Shakespeare’s words to life. From developing characters and interpreting scripts to experimenting with vocal expression, movement and stagecraft, pupils were challenged to rehearse, reflect and refine their performances, taking their work from page to stage!
Now, all their hard work is building towards a special performance at Artsdepot on Tuesday 10 November 2026 at 7pm, as part of the Coram Shakespeare Schools Festival 2026. We are delighted that QE is privileged to be only one of four secondary schools performing in the festival.
A huge thank you to Coram Shakespeare Schools, Theatre Director Penny Gkritzapi RM Drama and QE teacher Brooke Farron for their dedication and support in helping our pupils bring this timeless Shakespearean tale to life.
Come and support our talented young performers! We look forward to seeing you there.
