About this Event
Interested in becoming a QAGOMA Volunteer Guide?
Join us for a one-hour information session to find out more about the Volunteer Guide Program and the 2027 trainee intake.
Volunteer Guides play an important role in welcoming visitors into QAGOMA’s galleries and exhibitions. Guiding is about more than sharing knowledge — it’s about creating space for people to look, think, question and connect through art.
During the session, we’ll introduce the guiding program, talk about what being a Volunteer Guide involves and the commitment required, and share more about the training and ongoing learning opportunities available to Guides.
You’ll also hear from current Volunteer Guides about their experience and have an opportunity to ask questions.
The session will include information about the 2027 application process, including what to expect and how to apply.
Please note
Attendance at an information session is essential for anyone wishing to apply for the 2027 trainee intake.
We welcome people from a broad range of backgrounds, experiences, languages and communities. An interest in art is important, but you don’t need to be an expert. Curiosity, openness, a willingness to learn and an ability to engage with and listen to diverse audiences are highly valued.
We look forward to meeting you.
