This registration is for one participant in the UTJPA Puzzle Chess Tournament. Puzzle Chess is a timed, head-to-head competition played with 100-piece puzzles. After the puzzle frame is assembled, players alternate placing one connecting piece at a time and switching the chess clock. The player with the most time remaining when the puzzle is completed wins the match.
No chess experience is required—just bring your puzzling skills and a little competitive spirit!
Tournament Format
The tournament begins with group-stage play, followed by a single-elimination championship bracket.
Every participant is guaranteed three group-stage matches.
The top finishers from each group advance to the single-elimination bracket.
Advancing players continue competing until a champion is crowned.
The tournament will initially be limited to 24 participants. Up to eight additional spots may be released based on demand, for a maximum of 32 participants.
The final number of elimination rounds will depend on the total number of registered participants.
