About this Event
Leaning into the knowledge that the work of creating a supportive school community must begin with the adults, a daily intentional choice to model care for ourselves and the humans around us is of importance. How can adults demonstrate respect, dignity, and mutual concern in their classroom practices and spaces? Grounded in the belief that if the community feels welcomed, valued, and supported, then the learning that needs to take place, will occur. By highlighting an educator’s introspective journey to prioritizing care and relationships above all else in a classroom setting; session participants will take time to explore their personal values that have shaped beliefs around classroom management and education and leave with a reminder to pause with purpose in daily interactions.
