A Free Community Film Screening & Conversation for Domestic Violence Awareness Month
This October, EVE, Inc. invites you to join us for a powerful evening of film, conversation, and awareness in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM).
We’ll be screening The Invisible Man (2020) — a gripping psychological thriller that opens the door to an important conversation about domestic violence, coercive control, stalking, isolation, manipulation, and the experience of not being believed.
But the conversation doesn’t end when the credits roll.
Following the film, stay for a live panel discussion and audience Q&A with local professionals who work with survivors and within our community. Together, we’ll explore what domestic violence and coercive control can look like in real life, why abuse isn’t always visible, the barriers survivors may face when seeking help, and how each of us can better recognize and respond to abuse.
