Get ready to make some noise and get creative with the Junkadelic Arts Collective! In collaboration with the Mandurah Community Gardens, these inclusive, multi-generational workshops invite you to become part of a massive community spectacle.Guided by professional artists and musicians—with cultural storytelling grounded by a Noongar educator — you will help bring a giant puppet and mobile junk-music sculptures to life. Across two exciting phases, participants will brainstorm lyrics, construct a vibrant character from recycled materials, and learn infectious percussion rhythms.
Whether you want to tinker with sustainable "junk" art, write original songs, or practice your drumming skills, there is a place for everyone. Perfectly timed for the school holidays, these workshops cater to all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. Best of all, your creations and rehearsals will culminate in a massive, high-energy flashmob-style performance on Mandurah’s Eastern and Western Foreshore, at Music Under the Bridge!
