Getting into the heart of counter culture and social organization, Punx and Politics is about building D.I.Y community and social power. This six part series starts as a deconstruction workshop. In order to find where you are, you have to find where you are not. In part 1 of “Show Some Class” we discussed and outlined how social hierarchy is organized and maintained. From the American Middle Class to the richest of the rich.
In part 2, we are digging into the nitty gritty. How the “isms” reinforce and uphold power. Racism and sexism have been established for centuries to not only keep oppressed people down, but to also control and maintain the oppressors. Holding to a standard that isn’t humane or beneficial to anyone.
