Monsoon Improv is running a weekly Improv Jam in Pune!!
What is Improv?
We will play theatre based games inspired from theater and Improv greats such as Viola Spolin, Del Close and Stanford Meisner. Here you will be making choices in the moment, building on shared ideas, and creating scenes and stories without knowing where they are going.
No performance or public-speaking experience needed.
Saket Jawaji (the facilitator) will guide you through activities and games designed to rediscover your creative voice, get you out of your head, and maybe remind you how much fun it is to just create for the sake of creating.
About the Facilitator
Saket is a writer, filmmaker, and improviser with 10+ years of experience across film, television, theatre, and improv. Having worked in Mumbai as a writer and script editor, Saket later pursued improv training in North America with renowned Chicago-based improvisers like Joe Bill, and Paloma Nunez.
Additionally, Saket has performed at the Ottawa Improv Festival and regularly performs across Ontario in long-form, short-form, narrative, competitive improv shows, and improvised Shakespeare Plays.
He has also taught basic and advanced improv, facilitated jams, and directed improv teams in Canada.
