Join the DeKalb Park District for FREE Family Fun for ALL AGES!Not sure what to do with your carved pumpkins after Halloween? We've got you covered!
Bring your carved pumpkins to Hopkins Park Sled Hill for various pumpkin activities and competitions. Have fun following your pumpkin down the sled hill in the pumpkin roll competition!
Afterward, smash your pumpkin to bits - launch it with a slingshot, or take it to our smash and bash stations! We take the pumpkin bits and turn them into compost that will help nourish plants in the spring!
Enjoy food from local food trucks, have a blast in the Kids Zone, and enjoy fall-related crafts. It's a day of fall magic that you don't want to miss!
(Please remove any candles and glow sticks beforehand. Painted pumpkins cannot be composted and therefore cannot be brought to the event. Registration for pumpkin smashing events deadline is 11:15 AM sharp on-site!)
