Bring your leftover pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and gourds to the Pumpkin Smash! After you smash them, Snug Harbor will turn them into compost for the grounds and farm. The fun doesn’t stop there…we will also have crafts, a cooking demo highlighting delicious fall flavors, and tunes for getting your groove on. While at the event, you’ll learn about composting and local wildlife while enjoying special treats.Come in costume and you’ll be entered in the raffle to win a family membership!
The family that brings the largest number of pumpkins wins a family membership!
Can't make it? Bring your jack-o-lanterns and food scraps to Snug Harbor’s Food Scrap Drop-off site every day, dawn to dusk. Don’t think we forgot about the leaves that are starting to fall! Please remember to use your brown toter to fill up with your yard waste. DSNY collects your organic waste right from your home on your regular recycling day.
