About this Event
Nov. 15! PUMPKIN SMASH 2026! Compost your pumpkins or feed them to the hogs Urbavore Farm.
-->Every November we host Pumpkin Smashing parties to keep pumpkins out of landfills + give them a second life in the soil.
-->Pumpkins are big, heavy, and take a lot of energy, time, water, and labor to grow. Yet, every fall, countless pumpkins end up in landfills, where they take up valuable space and contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.
-->Breaking pumpkins into smaller pieces helps speed up the composting process, turning them into nutrient-rich compost that helps grow more food!
