Work with an experienced potter on the pottery wheel to create a large pumpkin hanging planter with step by step instructions. No experience needed! You will learn how to center 3 pounds of clay, and the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel. After the workshop, your piece will take time to air dry, we add holes for hanging your planter, and then it will be fired in our kiln.Admission includes a return visit after 2 weeks to paint your pottery in your own style with colorful pottery glazes. Maybe add a jack’o’lantern face! Then it goes into the kiln again for a final firing, and ready 2 weeks after you painted it. Your piece will be waterproof, and even food safe. Ages 10 and up.
Admission: $68 per person, includes 1 return visit to paint with glazes.
