Middle and high school students are invited to a special Voice Masterclass led by Walnut Hill School for the Arts Head of Voice, Teresa Winner Blume. Ms. Blume, along with Walnut Hill's Voice Coach and Pianist, Elaine Smith-Purcell, will provide support and suggestions for expression, presentation and artistry to help young artists feel confident in their solo auditions and performances. Students can attend as audience members or apply to perform during the class. Performers will receive feedback, encouragement and suggestions for expression, presentation, and artistry to gain confidence in their solo auditions and performances.
Singers who wish to participate must submit an audition video via the form below no later than Sunday, November 1. Perform one standard classical art song or classic musical theater piece from memory, and list your YouTube link directly within the form. Recording with smart phones, or a video of a recent live performance of a solo piece are perfectly acceptable, as long as we can see your face and hear you clearly. Up to 6 participants will be selected based on submissions received.
The registration deadline for attendance only (without participation - no video submission needed) is Tuesday, November 10.
