Free public speaking practice in Brea. First and third Wednesdays, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
BrewMeisters Toastmasters meets at Brea United Methodist Church, 480 N State College Blvd, in the Wesley Room. The church rents us the room. The club has no religious affiliation, and meetings are never religious.
Here is the hour and a half: prepared speeches from the Toastmasters Pathways program, Table Topics for two minutes of impromptu speaking with no pressure on guests, structured evaluations that tell you what worked and what to fix, the Word of the Meeting, and awards for Best Speaker, Best Table Topics and Best Evaluator.
Come to conquer the fear of public speaking, build confidence, sharpen your presentation and communication skills, or get ready for a job interview, wedding toast or sales pitch. Beginners are welcome and no experience is needed.
