About the Speaker:
Yuan Yang is the Member of Parliament for Earley and Woodley and Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Chancellor of the Exchequer. She has been a Financial Times Europe-China correspondent and published her first book in 2024, Private Revolutions, describing China's economic transformation through the stories of four women. Yuan founded the charity Rethinking Economics, aiming to make "economics teaching more relevant to the real world"
