📝 Event Description
What is the gospel? What did God promise Abraham? And what does it have to do with us today?
The word “gospel” means good news, but what exactly is the good news taught in the Bible? Long before the time of Jesus, God made remarkable promises to Abraham that form a central part of the Bible's message.
In this third lecture of our five-part series, we'll explore the gospel that was preached to Abraham and the promises God made to him. We'll consider why Abraham is so important to the Bible's message, what God promised concerning his descendants and the nations, and how these promises provide the foundation for the message of Jesus Christ and the hope of God's Kingdom.
Building on the first two lectures, we'll continue our journey through the Bible's message — from understanding God's Word and knowing the God it reveals, to discovering the promises at the heart of the gospel and how they lead forward to Jesus Christ and God's coming Kingdom.
Whether you are familiar with the Bible, have questions about the gospel, or are simply curious to learn more, you are warmly invited to join us.
Part 3 of 5 — Introducing You to the Gospel Preached to Abraham
This is the third lecture in a free five-part series presented over five Sunday evenings, with a one-week break during the series. Each lecture follows naturally from the previous one, building towards a fuller understanding of the Bible's message. You are welcome to attend individual lectures, but attending the full series will give you the complete journey.
