Public Art Tour

THE OCTOBER 3RD TOUR HAS BEEN CANCELED.

Gov­er­nors Island’s 120 acres of open space are dot­ted with site-spe­cif­ic pub­lic art pre­sent­ed through Gov­er­nors Island Arts, meant to prompt con­tem­pla­tion and encour­age vis­i­tors to engage with our var­ied land­scapes and histories.

These free guid­ed tours will give you an in-depth look at the Island’s pub­lic art­works, from interactive sculptures to monumental murals.

Please note: these tours are held entire­ly out­doors on Gov­er­nors Island. Please dress with the weath­er in mind. Tours depart from Sois­sons Land­ing at 11:45am the first and third Saturday of the month.
