Join us at Skylab Architecture to kick off PTXM 2026: Layers of Resilience, a monthlong exploration of how textiles and community carry memory, ingenuity, and collective resilience through times of uncertainty and change. This community opening gathering brings together artists, makers, designers, educators, businesses, and textile enthusiasts from across Portland and beyond. Connect over conversation, meet participating festival organizers, and discover the exhibitions, workshops, talks, and gatherings taking place throughout October.
The evening will also feature a community market showcasing local textile artists, makers, and independent businesses. Hosted within Skylab’s dynamic studio and community space, the celebration offers a chance to meet the people and encounter the ideas and practices behind this year’s festival.
Whether you are deeply involved in textiles or simply curious, all are welcome. Join us to begin a month of exchange, care, connection, and collective resilience. The event is free, and registration is required.
