Come join us for our PTSA general meeting. As always, we will feature an update from Principal Sondheim and ASB Predident Gavin Green. We are very pleased to present guest speaker Cindy Muchnick, co-author of the Parent Compass. The Parent Compass offers advice for parents on how to support students during their high school years. Cindy really understands our audience and community. Cindy is an expert in the college admission process: she got her start volunteering in the admission office at Stanford and working in admission at the University of Chicago before opening a private study skills and college counseling business in Southern California, which she ran for over fifteen years. Since closing her private practice in 2011, Cindy has focused on public speaking to student, parent, school and business groups on a variety of education-related topics.
The Parent Compass is Cindy's tenth book. Her other titles include The Best College Admission Essays, Straight-A Study Skills, The Everything College Checklist Book, and more. Cindy has four kids (two teens, a college student and a college grad) and lives in Menlo Park.
