-- Fusing Brazilian influences, dreampop, indie, art pop, and shoegaze, Pterocat started as the collaborations of Brazilian artist Thaïs Dahas and Atlanta artist Colby Granger. Originally from Rio De Janeiro, Thais Dahas moved to Atlanta in 2016 and was inspired to make music informed by the experience of migrating and finding community within another country and culture. After meeting Granger in 2018, a strong connection was built around music and they have been playing, writing and performing together ever since. Sam Horwitz (drums) and Deanna Harris (bass) joined the band in 2025 with multi-instrumentalist Nathan Forsyth the following year.
is an Athens-based band fronted by songwriter Jackie Hales. A cast of skilled collaborators brings playful songs about love, identity, and self to life with layered arrangements and bright vocal harmonies. Peers have called them “fussy,” “idiosyncratic,” “eclectic,” and other words for things you love but can’t quite describe. Sometimes groovy, sometimes rocking, sometimes haunting, the band floats comfortably between genres and styles from song to song.
