PTAC Methane Leadership Summit 2027
From Commitment to Implementation: Achieving Canada's 75% Methane Reduction Future
The commitment has been made. Now comes implementation. Canada's methane reduction journey has entered a new phase. With governments and industry advancing toward a 75% methane reduction target by 2035, the focus is shifting from policy development and technology awareness to practical implementation, deployment, and measurable results. MLS 2027 is designed to help stakeholders understand what comes next and how to successfully navigate this transition.
The PTAC Methane Leadership Summit is Canada's premier conference dedicated to methane emissions detection, quantification, reporting, and reduction. The event brings together oil and gas producers, governments, regulators, technology developers, investors, researchers, Indigenous organizations, and service providers to discuss the most important issues shaping the future of methane management in Canada.
The 2027 program will explore the implications of the new regulatory framework, producer strategies to achieve 75% reductions by 2035, measurement and audit readiness, deployment economics, and the technologies most likely to address the industry's hardest remaining emissions sources. Delegates will also examine surface casing vent flow, the cost of methane compliance, and the need to reduce the costs of detection, measurement, reporting, and pneumatic retrofits.
A strong international component will examine how methane performance influences investment decisions, LNG competitiveness, and access to global energy markets. Discussions will address capital requirements, investment outlooks, international market expectations, and the growing relationship between methane performance and commercial success.
MLS 2027 offers a unique opportunity to hear diverse perspectives, discover emerging technologies, learn from practical implementation experiences, build valuable business relationships, and better understand the pathway to achieving Canada's methane reduction objectives.
Join Canada's methane leaders as the conversation moves from commitment to implementation.
