About this Event
We are excited to announce that our 8th annual PSYC Research Lab Fair is returning on Tuesday, October 13th, 2026 at 12:00pm – 3:00pm in the North AQ!
The Lab Fair is a unique opportunity for students to explore the diverse research happening across Psychology and connect with labs from all six areas of the department. At the event, you can:
- Explore the fascinating world of Psychology research
- Connect with Psychology professors, graduate students, and research assistants
- Discover ways to get involved on campus through volunteer or research opportunities
This year, labs from all six areas of Psychology - Clinical; Cognitive & Neural; Developmental; History, Quantitative & Theoretical; Social; and Law & Forensic will be showcasing their research in an engaging, fair-style format. For students considering graduate school in Psychology, gaining research experience through a lab is highly recommended. The Lab Fair is the perfect opportunity to meet with our labs and learn about potential research opportunities - all in one place!
In addition, students will have the opportunity to connect with campus groups and organizations such as the Psychology Student Union (PSU), Arts Central, Career & Volunteer Services, Psychology’s Indigenous Reconciliation Committee, and JEDAI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Accessibility, Inclusion) Workgroup. All SFU students are welcome, and we especially encourage Psychology students to attend. Whether you are looking to join a lab, exploring ways to get involved on campus, or simply curious about the world of Psychology research, this event is for you!
