#WeAreTheBear stands with Jane Doe!!We Are The Bear is a movement that grew out of an anthology for sexual assault survivors that compiles their stories. Nothing is rewritten. It's their voices. I just provide the platform! I started this because I wanted to help fellow survivors somehow. Giving a voice back to those who have been silenced has always mattered deeply to me, and what began as accepting submissions for an anthology little by little turned into something bigger.
This is personal to me because my own stories are included. We need to speak up and stand together until laws are changed. We are Jane Doe until there are no more Jane Does. WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED!!
To make our first rally on Cornell University campus in Ithaca, NY on November 7th happen, we need to raise some funds! All proceeds go into the movement, tipping volunteers, and working toward larger changes in laws and regulations nationwide!
