About this Event
Join our protest for Joyce the elephant!
We will supply signs for you—all you need to do is show up!
Since 2010, Joyce has been part of the Wild Safari exhibit at the Six Flags Great Adventure theme park in New Jersey. Joyce has been isolated in an area approximately 700,000 times less than an African Elephant would have in the wild, in close proximity to Six Flags's disruptive rollercoasters, with little shade. This is no place for an elephant.
This protest outside of Six Flags is to put pressure on the park to shut down its elephant exhibit and send Joyce, along with the other elephants, to a sanctuary where they rightfully belong.
*We will be protesting in front of Adventure Crossing, less than 2 miles from Six Flags. This is the closest we can get to the park for a public protest, but everyone driving to Six Flags will see us. Parking is available.
