From trail building to harvesting firewood, we know your working woodland is a special place. Let us help you protect it for future generations. Join us for an in-person conversation at the Yarmouth County Museum about how the Nova Scotia Working Woodlands Trust can support your stewardship goals.
This event is geared towards woodland owners who are looking for lasting legal protection for their working forests. Throughout the evening, staff from the Nova Scotia Working Woodlands will outline how our Working Forest Easement program offers a unique opportunity to protect forests from future clear cutting, development or subdivision.
The NSWWT is Nova Scotia's first land trust dedicated to protecting private woodlands. Our team of dedicated forest professionals will be pleased to answer questions throughout the evening, and offer support for your unique woodlands.
We will also be welcoming the Southwest Nova Biosphere Region to present the important conservation work they are engaged with in the five southwestern counties of Nova Scotia.
They will also be generously handing out free seedlings for any keen woodland owners looking to plant a few more sugar maples or yellow birch saplings.
We hope you can join us for coffee and treats as we chat about protecting the stewardship legacy of your woodland.
