Explore the emotive power of metaphor at the meeting place of prose and poetry. In this workshop, we’ll look at how a paragraph can carry the imagery, rhythm, and compression of a poem. Through reading and writing exercises, we’ll experiment with ordinary moments, vivid details, and surprising associations to create prose that is lyrical, concise, and alive.
This flexible, participant-directed session meets you where you are. You'll learn how writing as a creative process across literary genres cultivates attention and presence.
Over time, this practice opens a space for deeper reflection, spiritual connection, resilience, and a greater sense of meaning as you move through your own journey.
