Prairie plants are the perfect addition to any landscape; they are beautiful, hardy, drought-resistant, and support wildlife like native pollinators. Learn how to propagate prairie plants by joining our Seed Saving Workshop taking place Saturday, October 24th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. We will discuss how to clean, store and grow native seeds, do some hands-on seed collection and participants will be able to bring some home to grow their own. This program is hosted by the Interpretive Program (MHIP) in collaboration with Community Food Connections Association (CFCA) and will be taking place at the Nature Centre in Police Point Park.Registration is required as spaces are limited. There is a 5$/person fee, paid in advance (over the phone or in person), to cover the cost of materials and supplies. To register for this program call 403.529.6225 or come down to the Nature Centre. Suitable for ages 14+. Minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather.
