Project Floyd, Scotland’s authentic Pink Floyd tribute, continue to build their reputation for delivering a musically authentic and visually immersive celebration of Pink Floyd with their ambitious new production, Pulse & Thunder.Based in Glasgow and formed in 2021, Project Floyd have rapidly established themselves as one of the most recognised Pink Floyd tribute acts across Central Scotland, combining a dedicated eight-piece live band with carefully recreated arrangements, lighting and projection.
Following a major line-up overhaul in January 2025, which brought together musicians from The McCommitments, Mod Life Crisis, Chanters Choir and Aberdeen's Wish You Were Floyd, the band entered a new chapter and began expanding both their musical repertoire and production.
Their subsequent Best of The Wall shows saw the band reach new heights, including a hugely successful appearance at The Bungalow in Paisley. In 2026, Project Floyd continued their expansion with their Darker Side of the Wall production, extending their reach into new territories including Dundee and Aberdeen.
The band's latest production, Pulse & Thunder, represents their most ambitious show to date.
Inspired by two of Pink Floyd's most iconic live eras the 1987 Delicate Sound of Thunder tour and the 1994 Pulse tour carefully constructed as a three hour celebration of Pink Floyd's extensive catalogue.
DELICATE SOUND OF THUNDER
The first half draws inspiration from the legendary *Delicate Sound of Thunder* era, combining material associated with the 1987 tour with classic Pink Floyd favourites, deeper cuts and carefully selected surprises from across the band's extraordinary catalogue.
PULSE
The second half moves into the world of Pulse, building towards a complete performance of The Dark Side of the Moon, presented in its entirety from beginning to end.
Rather than simply recreating a single Pink Floyd setlist, Project Floyd have carefully curated the production around more than five decades of Pink Floyd music, creating a show that moves between familiar classics, deeper album material and the band's iconic live arrangements.
The production debuted at The Ferry, Glasgow in August 2026, where the new show was met with a positive response.
Adding to the experience is a full live production featuring laser lighting, professional stage lighting and large-scale visual projections. Project Floyd's visual presentation includes licensed projection work from Artist on the Border, whose creative work has connections to the Syd Barrett estate and Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets visual production team.
The result is a show designed not simply to sound like Pink Floyd, but to recreate the atmosphere, that made the band's live performances legendary.
And there are still surprises.
One of the highlights of Pulse & Thunder is a first-ever live performance by Project Floyd of a Grammy Award-winning Pink Floyd instrumental, alongside several other moments specifically chosen to surprise even longtime Floyd fans.
