About this Event
In the wake of the May 16, 2025 EF-3 tornado that tore through the heart of St. Louis, an emergent strategy in disaster relief began. Fueled by a collective effort from the Party of Socialism and Liberation, Dr. LJ Punch, and the Centennial Christian Church community in Fountain Park, this collective effort has spanned more than a year and half of crisis, recovery and resilience work. During this session the 314Oasis community will share stories including those of directly impacted survivors, as well as data and observations from the field. The session will conclude with a shared meal and a call to action to awaken and prepare for the reality of diaster relief in an era where the priorities and function of federally funded efforts have drastically changed. With a call to action across sectors, from funders, to practitioners, to government, to helpers, to developers, this powerful session will challenge and activate leaders and community members across the region. Each attendee will receive the printed 314-O post-tornado impact report.
