The Program Planning and Oversight Committee shall serve as a focal point of the Behavioral Health Board to: (1) identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and challenges relating to behavioral health; (2) arrange for the development and update of a strategic plan and action plan to address the challenges; (3) design, implement, and monitor a comprehensive program of mental health and addiction services to meet local community needs; (4) evaluate progress in achieving the program objectives; (5) identify impediments to program success and develop ways to overcome them; and (7) develop specific recommendations for Board approval. Meetings are open to the public.
