Information
Kenneth's carefully controlled existence begins to unravel when the bookstore closes, and he suddenly has to find another job. He eventually meets Corrina, a waitress who becomes genuinely interested in him, and begins working at Primary Trust Bank. These encounters slowly force Kenneth to venture beyond the protective world he has constructed for himself. As Kenneth's story unfolds, we learn that his isolation is not simply eccentricity. It is connected to deep childhood trauma and loss. This production is supported in part by The Black Seed, a national project funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, in a partnership with The Billie Holiday Theatre, New York, New York. Professional Stage Reading directed by AKIN BABATUNDE. Produced by CURTIS KING.
